a door that can always be opened
March 16
Deb,
I wanted to follow up on our afternoon while it's still fresh in my mind. Thank you for sharing Radio Silence with us. I have been floating, in a way, since our walk. The timing and spaciousness of it was so perfect for the moment, and I've found so much to reflect on from the experience.
This week I started writing morning pages again, for the first time in over 6 months - feeling like it's a good time to let thoughts flow onto the page and have a place to dump confusion, frustration, anxiety and inspiration. Raw thoughts, but I wanted to share a few things I wrote this morning about what you've created:
It was such an open-hearted, intuitive, meditative experience, a testament to the power of vulnerability - to just stand and feel one's own feet on the ground, to fully receive our connection to the world around us, seen and felt. Its ability to hold us. Our ability to hold each other. ... The timing of our experience together felt somehow perfect, but I felt too that perhaps its gift is that in some way it is always perfectly timed - a door that can always be opened. The trick is in how it invites us to receive it.
